JOHN BRATCHER

   
John Bratcher has been in the wine business for almost 30 years with experience in many facets of the industry including retail and wholesale. He was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Llano Estacado from 1986 until 1993 and was the creative force behind three of the winery’s most successful wines- Signature Red, Signature White and Llano Blush. In 1993 John was recruited by Cap*Rock Winery and jumped at the chance to work with his long time friend, winemaker Kim McPherson. At the end of 2001 he left Cap*Rock to start his own wine brokerage company, Rockridge Wine Traders, and represents wineries from Texas, California, Washington, Missouri and Argentina. John is one half of www.twowineguys.com with writer Jeff Siegel and does a monthly cheese and wine matching class with his friend, Paula Lambert, owner of the Mozzarella Company in Dallas. He is a frequent panel member at Texas wine events including the Dallas Food and Wine Festival (Dallas Morning News Wine Competition) and is often a guest on radio and television shows around the state. In 2007 he took over for his friend, Rod Kennedy, as moderator of the wine seminars at the Kerrville Labor Day Music and Wine Festival.
